Power / Utility Information

Once you know your move-in date, you can complete this online form to sign up as a new client or contact NB Power via phone at 1 800 663-6272. 

When you contact them, they will need to know: 

  • The full-service address (including the apartment number if applicable) or the meter number 
  • Your date of birth and one piece of government-issued ID 
  • The name(s) of the individual(s) who will be financially responsible for the NB Power contract account. 

    They will also require a deposit (if you are a new customer).

    Water and Sewage 


    Well & septic – No action needed! 

    For Quispamsis water and sewage, you will deal with the Town of Quispamsis: 

    The lawyer will initiate setting this up when your purchase is finalized. There will be a request of transfer sent to Service NB who will then notify the town of Quispamsis of new ownership.
    Payments are typically made quarterly and can be done online or in person.

    Saint John:
    Sewage and water will be with the City of Saint John. The lawyer will initiate setting this up when your purchase is finalized. There will be a request for transfer sent to Service NB who will then notify the City. Payments are made 2 times per year, in March and September. 

    You may want to check in on this as soon as possible to be sure that the bill is paid out by the previous owner. This way you will be sure there is nothing outstanding.

    Garbage & Recycling 

    Quispamsis has curbside garbage, compost and recycling. To check the schedule for your area, you can use this site and type in your address. https://www.fundyrecycles.com/solid-waste/garbage-recycling/recycling/  

    You may want to purchase bins for recycling which you can do at the town of Quispamsis.
